Bald geht Tric Trac online. Ich habe ein paar Wochen programmiert, um das Spiel von Jijbent auf der Testplattform von Brettspielnetz zu integrieren, einige gute Leute haben es auf unserer Testplattform getestet und nun habe ich die Programme auf der produktiven Plattform von Brettspielnetz übernommen. Morgen, spätestens übermorgen, werde ich noch ein paar abschließende Tests vornehmen und dann gehen wir live!

Hallo!

Habe Tric Trac angetestet. Nettes Spiel - mir (noch?) etwas zu "chaotisch".

Was mir allerdings aufgefallen ist: Wenn man schlecht steht, kann das Rauswürfeln sehr lange dauern. Haben in einer Partie knapp 200 Züge benötigt, um das Spiel zu beenden - gefühlte 120 davon waren "Leerwürfe", die aber aktiv ausgeführt werden mussten (und ich nehme an, somit auch die Bedenkzeiten raufsetzen). Dadurch werden Turniere und vor allem Meisterschaften wochen/monatelang aufgehalten (alles regelkonform), bis eben einer den letzten 6er Pasch gewürfelt hat.
Mir ist bewusst, dass an der generellen Bedenkzeitregelung nichts geändert werden wird, aber evtl. kann man das Spiel so adaptieren, dass diese "Leerwürfe" nicht als eigener Zug zählen und/oder automatisch durchlaufen - denke das würde dem Spiel sehr gut tun.

Bei Spiel Nr 4279581 habe ich 1 und 2 gewürfelt und kann nur eine 1 ziehen. Warum? Und vor allem: danach kann ich den Zug nur zurücknehmen - also weder ausführen noch aufgeben oder sonstwas. Was ist da los?

Nur ein Verdacht: aber wolltest du beide Steine in dein Haus ziehen mit den 2 1ern? Falls ja, dann ist das nivvt erlaubt, weil du so keine 2 ziehen kannst. Du musst zumindest 1 1er von 6 auf 5 ziehen.

Yes, Tric Trac has its own rules, that differ quite a lot from the normal BG. Because of these different rules, it also rquires a different tactics, both in midfield play and in throwing out.

I understand the concern that throwing out can take a long time when all of your pieces are for example on 4-5-6 spots (that's part of the different tactics for this game).
But the programming is not foreseen to detect these "leerwürfe" so they the moves have to be made. This was also done because otherwise players would get a wrong feel of being cheated on (by the dice), because they have to look back at so much "leerwürfe".

This is what I like about trictrac: You have to make a switch in tactics compared to backgammon. I don't mind the "leerwürfe". That is the essence of the game, you have to prepare to get out fast. Which is quite hard Game on!

For me there are two major differences between TT and BG. BG you can play "in between"; while watching a movie or having a conversation.
With BG you can switch your dice, to move another one first. Not with TT, first the lowest.
Not possible? Too bad. Next turn.
Another one is throwing a double or 1 and 2. Most of the times they are welcome because you can throw again, but after a few times in one turn you might loose the game.
And yes, there are 'ghost' throws. It just means both of the parties can not make a move. Good thing if it is your turn
TT just has more challenges as BG.

in Spiel 4286405 möchte ich mit schwarz vom Feld 22 auf 18 ziehen. Das geht aber nicht. Jemand eine Idee warum? Fehler von mir, oder Systemfehler?

Ich sehe leider deinen Wurf nicht, aber würde darauf tippen, dass du dann dem 2. Zug nicht machen könntest. Das wäre nicht erlaubt

And to answer more on Statler about the "leerwürfe": when a player throws smth that is not 1-2 or a double, it is detected, and the opponent continues with his moves.
It is only when a double or 1-2 is thrown, but that player can't make any move, that he does get to play the turn, for the simple fact that he then gets to throw the dice again, and the program code does not know what result that next throw will give (random throw every single roll of the dice, the dice are not rolled from before ).
Therefore it is not known if the player will be able to make a move on his second throw or not, and thus gets the turn back and has to make his moves/throws.
